During our stay in Dubai we did not especially have an unlimited budget, in this city where everything is possible it is true that we can very quickly leave feathers there! I have therefore brought you together in this article the 10 activities to do absolutely in Dubai but especially without blowing your budget.
This absolutely disproportionate shopping center alone covers an area of 1.1 million square meters (just that!), Which allows it to rank as the largest shopping mall in the world! You will find 1200 shops there, but also an aquarium, an ice rink, waterfalls and so on.
You can easily spend a whole day without getting bored in this center, it is open every day from 10 am to midnight.
PLEASE NOTE: You will not find the ski resort in this mall, it is located in the Mall of Emirates!
Prices: Entrance to the shopping center is of course free, parking is also free, however you will have to put your hand in your wallet to do activities, for our part we have not done any. For the aquarium you will have to pay around 30 euros / person.
So even if it is not the cheapest activity, it remains for me an essential activity to do in Dubai! As a reminder, we are still talking about the tallest tower in the world with its 828 meters high! I assure you that the view from the top is absolutely incredible.
There is also the possibility of going up to the 148th floor, but for the moment I find it much too expensive and honestly the view on the 124 and 125th floors is already breathtaking!
Info: The elevator will take you to the 124th floor in just 1 minute! It alone is worth the detour.
Prices: I advise you to book your tickets in advance via the GetYourGuide site, it will cost you 33.59 euros for the 124 and 125th floor here and 80.93 euros here for the 148th floor (which also includes the 124 and 125th floor , yes the difference is huge!)
The musical spectacle of the fountains in the evening is absolutely amazing! So to appreciate it in another way, why not see it from the height?
Many rather posh bar / restaurant with a view of the fountains ask to pay a minimum of Dirham in their establishment in order to guarantee a place at their place, it was for us out of the question! We have therefore managed to find two fabulous places, where you will be able to enjoy an exceptional view for the price of a drink!
I'm talking about the Tribes restaurant, located on the top floor of the Dubai Mall, I advise you to eat there because the value for money is extra! But the gold medal goes to me at the Neos bar located on the 63rd floor of a hotel, you will have a view of the fountains and the Burj Khalifa. In addition, their cocktails are great!
Please note: You will have to go to the Neos from Monday to Wednesday so as not to see a minimum charge on the bill, the other days a cockail, or even a soft drink are enough to guarantee you a place.
Also, for both establishments I recommend that you book on the EAT application, specifying that you want a seat on the window side for the Neos, and outside for the Tribes.
Prices: The cheapest dish will cost you 11 euros at Tribes, the cocktail (without alcohol) 5 euros only! For the Néos, which is a little more expensive, count 8 euros for a non-alcoholic cocktail and 17 euros with alcohol. Also note that with the "FFI lifestyle" application you will be able to benefit from a purchased dish, 1 dish offered at Tribes!
Activity to do absolutely! The landscape is sumptuous. We really enjoyed this activity, our guide picked us up at 3pm from our hotel, after a tour through the desert dunes we went to a camp where a delicious meal awaited us. During the meal we also had a great show.
(If we wanted it was also to ride camels or sandbord)
Price: So here we have benefited from an absolutely exceptional value for money! We booked our excursion here Only 27.94 euros / person! Transfers, safari, meals, drinks and show included! Special mention for our extremely kind guide!
This place was a real surprise for us, to be honest we didn't really know what to expect!
Passing the barriers of Global Village you will find yourself in a setting with airs of Las Vegas and Disneyland. We were dazzled by all these lights, all this excessiveness, of the great Dubai!
Here almost all the countries of the world are represented, you can go for a walk in a souk in Turkey, eat local and buy local souvenirs, or even stroll in Europe, if you miss France.
You will also find a large alley with small food stalls from many different countries, the choice is even too large!
Of course, it does not stop there, Global Village also has a large funfair, operating in the form of a ticket, a bit expensive for our taste.
The place is really big, I advise you to be there at the opening at 4 p.m. in order to fully enjoy your evening.
Info: Global Village is only open from late October to early April, please see their website for more details.
Prices: Entrance to the Global Village will cost you 15 dirhams / person (3.30 euros), you can walk freely in any section, however you will have to add a few dirhams to attend certain shows and to enjoy the rides of the fun fair.
I won't hide from you that this activity is far from being the cheapest, but it remains in our essential activities.
This park differs from the water parks we know in France, its decor is really incredible! By taking the height we discover the view of the Atlantis hotel and the palm, basically we are not paying just for slides, but for an unforgettable day.
The slides are unique, you will find yourself in a glass tunnel underwater in the middle of the sharks (yes yes, it is quite real), but you can also challenge yourself to enter the capsule of the Poseidon's Revenge slide, and make you propel at nearly 60km / h! I assure you this is the worst tobogan I have done in my life! For the less courageous, you can settle in a buoy and let yourself float on the Lazy River, a 1.6 km long river that circles the park in 45 minutes.
Really if you want to have fun and have a memorable day I can only recommend this park. Also note that you can enjoy the beach at the Atlantis hotel, a real little extra.
Price: The entrance will cost you 60.64 euros per person by booking on GetYourGuide by clicking here. I strongly recommend that you reserve your entry in advance.
This 72,000 square meter park is a real wonder. More than 50 million flowers blooming in this incredible garden, just that, we are in Dubai at the same time you will tell me!
You will find an A380 covered with flowers, but also Disney characters that will delight the little ones.
And how can you miss the famous tunnel made up of a heart-shaped floral arch? Here you will have "the" instagramable photo! I also recommend going to Miracle Garden as soon as it opens at 9am to enjoy this park for yourself! We were there at 11am and there was hardly anyone there.
INFO: Next to Miracle Garden is the Butterfly Garden, which alone hosts 15,000 species of butterflies, we regret not having done so.
Prices: Entrance to the Miracle Garden will cost you 55 AED per person (12 euros), same for the Butterfly Garden. You can buy your tickets directly at the entrance to the park.
It's hard in Dubai to find nice and free beaches (we have a hard time, I must admit). But by dint of searching we ended up having a crush on Kite Beach! This beach, which looks like Venice Beach in the United States, will undoubtedly succeed in seducing most of you.
This beach is large, easy to access and above all free! No private beaches on the horizon! We really appreciated the small food trucks installed on the seafront, it immediately gives a really nice atmosphere.
INFO: There is a charge for parking at this beach, but by walking through the small streets nearby you can park your car for free.
Prices: Free!
The water taxis or rather the Abras look like small traditional wooden boats, they connect the two historic districts of Dubai, the Bur Dubai and the Deira district. You will be able to enjoy a 7min boat ride for a small fee.
Prices: AED 1 per person per way only! (around 0.25 euro cents) Remember to have cash on you!
For the people who follow me on my instagram account, you already know my passion for sunsets! And those in Dubai are particularly beautiful.
The best is probably to climb high to admire the show (in the first photo it is the view from the rooftop of our hotel, the Park Regis Kris In located in the Bur Dubai district, and which I recommend by the same occasion!)
But on a beach the show will be just as beautiful!
Prices: Free of course :)
